Hey there! I'm Ashley.
I started designing professionally a few years ago while going to school full-time for a diploma in web and graphic design. I've been creating logos and artwork for local businesses since around 2013 with 2 graphic design / photography courses in 2010-2011 and an intro class to HTML coding and Photoshop in 2008 under my belt. In 2018 I started my first job as an in-house graphic designer and social media intern for a local real estate company and learned a lot about the industry in a professional setting. I also later briefly worked at a brand strategy & design agency (I still collaborate on projects with them today) and found enjoyment in the entire branding process. I've been able to take the knowledge I acquired there and apply it to my own client projects today.
I've been creative my entire life, starting from a young age. I began dabbling in graphic design when I was in elementary school, teaching myself the basics of coding to edit online blog layouts and social profiles, designing profile pictures for my "avatars", and so on. I was "top yearbook student" two years in a row in high school as I loved photography, layout design and writing copy, even back then.
While in college, I also took fine arts courses as my electives, learning colour theory, drawing and painting and illustration. Since then, I have come to really enjoy illustration in both digital and traditional methods, and find myself focusing more on this style today.
I pride myself in staying current with all the latest design trends, so that I can provide my clients with modern and stylish ideas that help guide their businesses forward. I do my best to keep things simple and timeless but still eye-catching. From initial strategy to final outcome, I collaborate with and offer my clients guidance and support throughout the entire design process.
